NEW KENNEL TELEPHONE NUMBER 01842 758515

With the current cold snap causing major disruption to the racing programme our season has almost come to an end with just the re-scheduled Boxing Day Marathon at Crayford most likely being the last open race action for the kennel until the New Year. I will be doing a complete review along with our Website Awards over the next couple of weeks as well as a look ahead to the coming year.

It was nice to sign off the Sky meetings this week with a couple of winners at Wimbledon on Oaks Final night. Goldcrest Lord completed a remarkable recovery from a long injury to land an open race hat-trick when winning the sprint by 3/4 length in 16.29. Eye Onthe Tempo caused what seemed to be a surprise win in the 2nd division of the 480m Standard but the only surprise should have been his 14/1 starting price most likely because the tight railler was drawn in trap 4. Eye Onthe Tempo a quarter-finalist in the Derby in May and a consistent winner all year bolted out of the traps and the result was never in doubt holding on comfortably by 3/4 length in 28.60. Our other two runners Risky Rosaleen (2nd) and Destroy The Camp (3rd) both ran well and no doubt we will be hearing plenty of these two in 2011.

Goldies Tara ran well when 2nd in the semi-final of the Yarmouth Championship on Saturday with the final being this Wednesday. Also Silence In Camp won at the second time of asking on Monday an A2 while Scodan Paker scored in top grade on Saturday.

Thank you to Clive 'The Dogs' Lawrence for our latest 'Spotlight On' which is up on our Guest Column which makes great reading.

Just a brief Newsletter this week leaving myself and all at Imperial Kennels to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas.

GRADED - SCODAN PARKER

WEBSITE RECOMMENDED BETS

Well it was a case of nearly scooping the lot at Wimbledon last Tuesday as nap Goldcrest Lord won at a reasonable 9/4 but both Risky Rosaleen and Destroy The Camp despite running blinders were both beaten and then we were left contemplating why we didn't put Eye Onthe Tempo in our bets!
I can't see any more bets for the rest of the year so let's wait to see if we can get 2011 off to a flyer.

ADVISED LAST WEEK

GOLDCREST LORD - 5 pts win - Wimbledon - Tuesday - WON 9/4

DESTROY THE CAMP - 3 pts win - Wimbledon - Tuesday - lost

RISKY ROSALEEN - 1 pt win - Wimbledon - Tuesday - lost

3 x 1 pt win doubles 1 pt win treble = total 4 pts - lost
